Our
Story
After years in instructional design, Michelle took a break to focus on family and explore her next steps, which led to the creation of Sunflower Marketing. Inspired by her favorite flower and a suggestion from Adam, the idea began to take shape. By late 2022, Michelle and Adam launched Sunflower Marketing as a web design business for small businesses. However, after acquiring an author client, everything fell into place. Their shared passion for books shifted their focus toward author clients, and Michelle’s aspiration to be published made author website design a natural fit. Where We Are Now While we still love the Sunflower Marketing name, it no longer reflects our direction. That’s why we’ve rebranded to My Author Website.
Get to Know Us
Michelle has a background in Creative Writing and holds a Master’s Degree in Education with a focus on Learning and Technology. She spent years designing online courses at Southern Utah University before transitioning to web design and book marketing support at My Author Website. She’s also the host of the 60-Day Writing Challenge, which helps authors build writing habits and community.
Adam earned an MBA and JD and practiced law before transitioning into property management. With a passion for book marketing trends, he ensures you stay ahead without the research hassle.
