Our goal is to support authors on their journey, which is why we offer free resources to help guide the way. We’re a husband-and-wife team who love books! We’re dedicated to helping authors bring their brand to life.
Our Story
After years working in instructional design, Michelle took a step back to focus on family and new endeavors. She launched Sunflower Marketing with her husband Adam, originally offering web design services for small businesses.
Everything changed after working with an author client. Their shared love of books naturally led them toward the author community, where Michelle’s experience as both a writer and educator made author website design a natural fit.
As the business evolved, so did the brand. Today, My Author Website focuses specifically on helping writers build professional online platforms through web design, educational resources, and author-focused support.
Get to Know Us
Michelle is the creator of My Author Website and author of Launch Your Author Website, a practical guide to web design for writers. With a background in Creative Writing and a Master’s Degree in Education focused on Learning and Technology, Michelle combines creativity, teaching, and design to help authors build professional online platforms.
Before founding My Author Website, she spent years designing online courses at Southern Utah University. She’s also the host of the 60-Day Writing Challenge, which encourages authors to build consistent writing habits and community.
Adam earned an MBA and JD before transitioning from law into property management and business operations. He enjoys researching publishing and book marketing trends and supports the strategic and behind-the-scenes side of My Author Website.
